Well, he's named after the city that is names for twenty miles, but
actually has nothing to do with mileage.
It's always interesting to me how cities get names. There's one named
Silt because there was a warning sign that read Silt so that they'd
watch the tracks, which could be washed out for having been built over
silty soil. They start referring to the region as Silt, people who
settle there are just so far from the silt sign, etc. Then it's Silt.

On the contrary, it depends when they started dating.
If Milo is like the rest of us, he only became interested in Hayden
when she "blossumed into a woman" and not before. A cynic would say
that a barely legal teenager is simply the next best thing to an
underaged girl but I seem to recall she was dating somebody else
before she turned 18.

I thought you'd mean the five Grammys. There's still enough backlash
to defer vindication. But The Dixie Chicks are not going to declare
victory prematurely, unlike some other Texans we know....

I'm not really on any side. I am a fan of the Dixie Chicks, because they're
very talented and do music I like. I don't give a flying **** at a rolling
donut what their politics are. As to the famous "incident" in London,
either you believe in free speech, or you don't. Whether you agree with
them or not, if you *care* what she said, you don't believe in free speech.

There were protesters who shows up fo a while at their concerts, wearing
shirts that said "FUDC." Until one of the girls went over and thanked them
for their support, and all, but what did they have against Dick Cheney?
Free speech really is, ultimately, binary. Either you believe in it, or
not. A lot of rednecks don't. Not very American of them. (The death threats
were rather over the top, too.)

I disagree. The problem isn't caring what she said. It's objecting to the
fact that she said it. You can disagree with her all you want. It's all
the hallabaloo over that fact that she "dared" to criticize the president
that makes me sick to my stomach. People are idiots.
