It's not MI5. That troll was always trivial to killfile.
This has the total M.O. of the same cretin who's been spamming these groups
for years, and stalking me.
This one will rotate to avoid any rule you generate. Extreme immatury.
My suggestion: The posts usually appear in groups of five or six together
(if you sort by date, as I do, or sort by size, anything that makes them
contiguous.) Even when non contiguous, use ctrl-click. But they are easy
to select in a group on site and then hit "delete."
I've managed not to read a single one. Still, the idiot steals a few
seconds of your precious time each day.
You can learn all about the actual MI5 guy here, his real name, his history,
everything:

Don't give yourself credit! Your sorry *** isn't worth stalking.
Glassman@work 01-02-2008, 03:02 PM I have my delete when read time set to zero, so all I do is highlight the
posts, and they get "read".

True, but I am beginning to think there is a second moron posting using
the "MI5" nonsense in the subjects. :-(

Excellent idea, but I'm too clumsy with the keyboard, so I wind up with
"false positives."

In Agent I put M?I?5 in the filter and it gets rid of crap like M`I-5.
The question mark matches any single character.

Another excellent suggestion. But I assume Agent will want to see something
(or nothing?) in the placeholder, so you won't catch "MI'5."
Still, far better than nothing. Pity that newsreaders never standardized
the killfile software.
I no longer use Agent - for reasons irrelevant to this point (and irrelevant
to its quality, which I always found excellent.)
I remain convinced these aren't the original MI5's posts, anyhow.
Sidestepping killfiles and ruining newsgroups is the point now, not, as with
the classic "MI5 Victim," the paranoia.
It's either my trusty sidekick "Sociopath-Boy" or someone else bent on the
same goals.

It's not that much work. There are only four possible combinations to
filter: MI5, M?I5, MI?5 and M?I?5

I think you are right. It would take another filter MI?5 to catch it.
