True! I love them all. More than the show itself, I believe.
Original SG-1 theme, I believe, was some sort of stock music purchased for
re-purposing, albeit obviously superb.
Have you seen that site where theme-composer Joel Goldsmith posts downloads
of all the earlier iterations of SGA's theme?
It's great, and the SGA theme always occupies my "I-Pod faves list," I just
rotate among the several versions posted at JG's site to keep it fresh:

Ditto. The film was always a loser.
SG-1 production group made a sow's ear into a silk purse. Still, the film
benefits from a second viewing.

Just one noob question... How do you download the songs from JG's web
site?
All I can seem to do is play them?

mplayer (http://mplayerhq.hu) has a -dumpstream option
And also a redirect output to file option, depending if you want it as a wav
to encode as mp3 or whatever format it was sent in.

Evidently, JG didn't like folks like me downloading the tunes, so he altered
the way his site works.
You can still record them for your use, but I have no idea about a
straightforward way to do so.
I'm certain they were ordinary mp3's when I first found them, but no longer.
