I actually had to wait for FH to write and publish Heretics of Dune and
Chapterhouse:Dune before I could sate my Dune hunger. Of course, I
didn't have to worry about all the crap printed nowadays with the Dune
imprint on it, when I was young and impressionable. Maybe it all evens
out.....

I rather doubt I would qualify as "young" by most anyones measure Monk. I got
into the series just about the same time you did it appears. Did we have
electricity by then? <g>

Didn't matter. I would have rendered the oil out of the whale myself to
fill the lamp to read Frank Herbert... :)

<nodding> My life at that time was full of babies, job changes and buying our
first house. The world came to a screeching halt when Frank's next book hit the
shelves of the bookstore. Daddy was busy reading.

I'll never forget the seemingly eons wait between Hod and Ch:D. I don't
remember which bookseller I patronized then, but I do remember calling
every few weeks just to check.
