I've been rewatching the 3rd season today and i noticed something, there
were 5 very important leaders of the insurgency on New Caprica: Saul Tigh,
Galen Tyrol, Samuel Anders, Tory Foster and the inside man Felix Gaeta.
Notice that?

Lt. Gaeta has been mentioned as a possibility before.

Was just going to say that. Particularly the scene where Adama was
shot by Boomer, there was all sorts of folks out there analyzing the
scene shot by shot and having theories that Gaeta handed her the gun.

Gaeta made that jump to the station in the miniseries - which the bridge staff
clapped at etc. Supposedly a hard feat because of the distance involved.

People still talk as though the S7 Cylons are allies of the Final 5.
Other than both being called "cylons" there is very little reason
to believe it.
The 7, as far as we know, are unaware of the final 5, and have
an ingrained compulsion not to seek them or wonder about them.
(Three broke this, and was boxed for it.)
The Five are thousands of years old. The versions on board the
fleet were the leaders of the resistance against the 7.
The Five, it seems, knew of and allowed the Cylon genocide of
the colonies, but it does not seem they particpated in any way
(other than as colonials.) Though if Baltar is #1 he participated
without overtly knowing it.
So no, the #1 Cylon would not hand #8 a gun. She wouldn't even know
who he is, and if #1 is like the other 4, #1 wouldn't know who he/she's
a Cylon either.

True, but that's a very good observation.
