I was disappointed with the season premier of Monk. Mostly, there was one
scene in particular that was excruciatingly annoying!
The one where Monk started to talk, and the jackhammer was noisy. So he
tried again, and again the jackhamer. This goes on for a seemingly endless
amount of time and I just about turned off the tv. I would have, had I not
been such a fan of Monk. Why on earth would they let a scene like that go
on for so long?
Still Annoyed.

I though they dragged that scene out a little too long as well.
Monk's tendency to persist at times like that doesn't need that
much re-enforcement.

The art of argumentation is: polarize.
The cause you embrace is the cause
of the wise and the virtuous.
The negative is that of opportunists
and of moral dumbmindedness.

The scene annoyed the hell out of me too. I was going: Enough already, we
get it!

Shaloub said in an NPR interview that their object was to make you so
angry as to want to change channels, but not do it.
I think it would have been great character development for him to kill
Tennyson. For ever after, one would wonder if the bumbling genius
detective was going to freak and kill someone else.

too good to mess around with over-kill. Other than that, the episode was
pretty good. Loved the last scene with the taxi going home....
