SPOILER

SPACE

for the Monk episodes of the past month.

First, there was the murder of the foreign diplomat, which turned out
to be motivated by the killer trying to hide evidence that he killed
his own wife. Why? Because he was cheating on her?

Next, there was the guy who killed a woman over a pie, because he was
trying to hide evidence that he killed his wife. Why? Because he was
cheating on her?

Last night's rerun had a man kill his girlfriend, cut up her body,
then kill someone else to conceal evidence. Why did he kill her?
Something to do with her being his ex-wife's maid?

On number two, they were trying to find the bullet casing. All they
needed to do was find the body, which they did at the end anyway.
Unless he cut the bullets out after he killed her, that and his gun
would be all the evidence they needed.

Does one of the writers want to kill his wife or girlfriend, or are
they obsessing over the Peterson case?

Monk would say, "The bullet is the lead part of the cartridge that is
fired and (grimace) hits you. The shell casing is the brass thing
that holds the powder and bullet. It is thrown out of an automatic or
stays in a revolver and you have to (grimace) take them out yourself.
They are very dirty."

IIRC, they didn't have the barrel to check the bullet, but they must
have had the firing pin to see how the chell casing would be uniquely
marked.
