Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here, we
might as well dance.

We've been busy cleaning.

But let me say that the one about Monk at the Mega-Mart was one of the
finest episodes of the series. Somebody better sign up Enrico C for
more Monks.

The best of this season, for sure!

I liked the way Monk showed some personal progress by not having to wipe
after shaking the ex-cop's hand.

I could see Enrico in a another eppy or two but not as an additional
continuing character. Maybe helping Monk to get closer to Trudy's death.

I *loved* the handshake. I was slapping the table, I was so pleased
with it. (We were eating dinner. It was okay; my wife was as pleased
with this one as I was.)

Did you see how Monk changed while he was sitting at the table, working
the case with his old partner? He was a lot different. There was no
hesitation, no fumbling with words; he was even (intentionally) funny
once or twice. We finally saw the old Monk, the master detective, the
guy that Enrico must have worked with. He was a focused, irresistible
force. Mr. Shalhoub's was a brilliant performance in a standout
episode.

And Enrico kept right up with him. Great casting.
