The episode I just saw on the weekend had a young, nerdy guy that was
Adrian's "sidekick". He was actually quite good. Does anyone know if he
will appear in upcoming episodes, or was this a one-time only actor?

He's been in two episodes and was hilarious in both. I very much hope he
will return.

I had thought that they might use him to replace Sharona quite
effectively, but it would have been dangerous to change the dynamic of
the show that much.

I agree that he could replace Sharona. Monk worked well off of him, and
needs the continual challenge he represents. I think Tony S (Monk) does his
best acting when he is reacting to something. The double-takes he does are
superb.

I hated him. He was annoying without being funny. Of course, this is
a matter of taste. Obviously you guys liked him.

I'd agree that the show demands that Monk's sidekick be female.
