This episode was mostly great because it had Monk's brother, played by
John Turturro. I wonder why he never came back, except that maybe he's
too busy since he's a famous actor. I used to think Monk's ocd started
after Trudi's death but now it seems that he had the problem all his
life, and so did all four of his family. Perhaps it just got way
worse.

They didn't explain how Ambrose got his agoraphobia or maybe there was
no real cause.

The actual mystery about the pies was silly. When the crook was
reenacting the shooting he just tossed the carts in the air. So it
wasn't necessary to reenact all his yelling.

Yes, they did. He was afraid his father would come home while he was out.
