It drives me crazy. It even seems shorter because of the number of reruns in between. I think this season was actually longer, but it feels short because of the Natalie/Sherona switch - in my mind, there have only been 6 or so episodes this season - the ones with Natalie. It makes it seem even shorter. It must be nice to have that kind of contract! Steve Liz 03-05-2005, 02:59 PM Season 3 has a total of 16 episodes, the same as Season 2. Season 1 only had 12 episodes. The season just seems so short because they split it up, with more episodes aired during the first half. For this season, they aired 9 episodes in the first half and 7 in the second. They're already filming for Season 4, which I think will start in June. Monk is a cable show, so seasons are shorter. See how many episodes per season there are for The Sopranos (13), Carnivale (12), nip/tuck (13, 16), Rescue Me (13).
