View Full Version : Short Seasons
Tony E 04-11-2005, 02:25 AM Just found this group today, great dicussions and no porn spam. WOW I
did'nt think that was possible..LOL :} Anyway, any clues why Tony S. has
such short seasons. It seems like I just finished watching the season
premier and the next epi is the season finale. By the way, I'm glad you
guys n gals could afford the DVD sets and yes I would be PO'if I just spent
$50+ bucks and there were no extras. After reading the post about why Bitsy
left the show, it makes me wonder if the episode they had where Monk
would'nt pay for Natalies expenses was a reflection of reality?

Doesn't bother me much. I buy them for the episodes, not the extras.

So you know exactly why she left because you read it on the Internet?

I would, if you don't want the extras you can d/l the ep's from the binary
groups :)

Ok, so why did she REALLY leave?
More importantly, why didn't they bother having an episode explaining it!
I think she was SO much better than the new chick. I absolutely HATED her
at first, although she has gotten a little better. Plus, it's totally
unrealistic. Anyone with Monk's OCD wouldn't have put up with her for 1
day! It would have just been "yer fired!". Maybe people bitched though,
cuz like I said they did make her a little better.

You can also steal candy from a baby, but that doesn't make you a big man

We may never know. Even if everyone involved issued a detailed statement,
we may never *really* know. We were not there, and we can't get inside
people's heads.

They did not want to drag her departure any further. They were moving on.

So now "stealing" from giant greedmongering corporations that would have
no problem stealing your entire life savings for d/ling some MP3's is the
same as stealing candy from a baby?
It's warped morals like that which have made this country a lawyer ruled
police state.
Not to mention, it's only STEALING if any of those songs would have been
purchased otherwise. The REALITY is only a very very small % of them
would have been, and that even those who do d/l them buy the CD if they
care about quality. Therefore any #'s quoted by RIAA scum are utterly
inaccurate, and thus irrelevant.
They're own stupidity is to blame for any supposedly lost profits, not the
d/lers. If they offered high quality downloads for cheap enough, removed
crippling use infringing DRM, and had value added functions of their
websites like robust suggestion engines, they would in fact make MORE $
than they are now, for less cost, and illegal d/ls would become small
enough to be inconsequential.
An ex-record co. executive offered this plan (forgot the name) but so far
all the record co's are too shortsighted to do it.

Do you work for a PR firm or a politician? That's a classic non-answer.
If you've heard any possible reason(s), post, otherwise don't bother
answering.
I'd love to hear a statement from anybody on the show or from USA, but I'd
be interested to hear supposition over nothing.
Of course the FULL reasons never come out on these things. That's a given
whenever money, fame, power, govt., or the law are concerned. It's up to
people to read between the lines.

What kind of answer is that?
They didn't explain it PERIOD. If any explanation at all is "dragging it
on" then you need a dictionary!
One min. she's there, next she's gone. No explanation, no nothing. They
could have offered a few lines of dialog to explain it, even if she'd quit
and wouldn't do a departure ep.
