The USA series "Monk" returned for its fourth season Friday to its
highest premiere ratings yet. The 10 p.m. episode drew 6.4 million
total viewers and managed to top all basic cable original series
programming in the ratings in the 25-54 demographic. "Monk" managed to
build on its third-season premiere ratings by 15% in total viewers and
5% in 25-54.
