Was he a pro wrestler, or a mess cook on Battlestar Badactica?

Apparently, he was a Christian Rock singer/songwriter. Larry Norman was
often known as the "father of Christian Rock music".
As this was cross posted to alt.atheism, rec.sport.pro-wrestling and
alt.battlestar-galactica, I have a feeling that the person who commented
that this would be unimportant to 2/3rds of the newsgroups this was
posted in was wrong. It is unimportant to 3/3rds of the newsgroups it
was crossposted into.

Christian-rock singer. Passed away a couple of days ago, age 60. Was
kind of the "Elvis" of gospel rock in the 60's. Can't imagine how the
news is on-topic for any of the newsgroups crossposted to so the OP
was just trolling. That's a hook in your mouth, btw.

Well, at least one person, me, benifited from it being misposted. I hadn't
heard about it, and I'm subscribed to two of the Christian Music
newsgroups. Unfortunatly, they both have suffered from overloads of spam in
recent months, and usage has gone down, so it didn't get posted there.

Well, actually no, he was one of the better ones. That is to say, the
"mainstream" religious types looked down on him and the kids really
liked his music.

I found out he died and saw that no one posted about his death, it's
really a shame that you posted about other people not posting about
his death before posting about his death.
You should feel ashamed of your self.

Not me. I don't even know who he is. All I know is that he was a
Christian rock singer/songwriter. I don't listen to Christian rock. He
hasn't touched my heart at all. Nor will he.
The mention of the passing of a Christian rock singer is off-topic to
ALL THREE newsgroups.
Does it have anything to do with the Earth-Minbari war, for example?
The WWE? Atheism? No? Then it's off-topic.
