A really execrable lawyer made a fool of himself, people laughed at
him, he cried.

There are 3 BSG series, the originaol that aired 1978-1979 that we
call The Origihal Series (TOS), a spinoff of that called "Galactica
80" that aired in 1980, and a "reimagined" version currently showing
on the SciFi Channel.

"The Lost Warrior" was an epsode of TOS and it's discussed in the
Wikipedia entry I posted above.

You should really check out the wikipedia link that the other poster
posted. The quick rundown is this, the original Battlestar Galactica
series was very expensive to produce and their network (originally
ABC) forced them to retool the show into "Galactica 1980," a show
where the ragtag fleet finds Earth and it's 1980. The result was an
unwatchable disaster and killed the show. But there was one very good
episode called "The Lost Warrior" and that episode was so popular that
it has been included in DVDs of the original series. This is probably
the source of your confusion since it requires you to know a little
bit of backstory from Galactica 1980.

Several. Some were as good, some were not-so good. Never, ever watch
anything from Galactica 80 if you value your soul.
