The DVD sets for the "Mission Galactica" (the Battlestar Pegasus
episodes stuck together to make a "movie") and the sequel series
"Galactica 1980" have now been released in New Zealand. Whitcoulls
branches have an introductory price of $24.99 each, saving $15 each,
but they have also been spotted at branches of The Warehouse and JB
HiFi.

That's $20.05 US. Add $15 shipping and $6 duty and it's a "bargain"!

It is a good price compared to elsewhere here in New Zealand, but I
think I'll still wait for Galactica 1980 to hit the proper bargin bins
at under NZ$10. It's only worth getting for the Starbuck episode. The
Mission Galactica one is worthless to me since I already have the
original shows complete DVD set.

For a second I read that as "Starbucks" and thought "poor fool,
suckered in by advertising and second rate coffee". But my admiration
of you was restored on a second reading.

Back when you actually had to journey to Seattle to get
Starbuck's it was pretty good. But they've just gotten
too big to maintain the quality control.
