This would apply to the 4 revealed at the end of last season.
It's not that unreasonable. I'm not saying it's a theory I hold. But
it certainly makes for a twist. Worth considering, at least.

I'm still not convinced that they *are* all Cylons. At least not a
"normal" Cylon.

What's to be convinced of? This is pretty well established. RDM and
the other producers have been quite clear on this. They are cylons, and they
have been since the beginning. They are not like the other 7 however,
in lots and lots of ways.

Didn't they also say that Starbuck was dead?

Of course, and most people who follow the show knew that they were
lying because that's the sort of thing you lie about in this situation.
You get an overt question about a big show mystery, and you either don't
answer or you lie. I don't know why this confused people. If an
SF/fantasy show kills a character and you ask the producer "Is she
really dead?" you know you will never get the answer "No, she's coming
back." It would make no sense to give that answer. So any answer
to that question is going to be non-information or misdirection.
Same for any question about "Who is the final Cylon" etc. You will
get hints, subtle clues etc. but not answers. Other the other hand,
producers will only rarely volunteer lies, without having been given
a question. Those sort of misdirections they just put in the show,
not in press releases or speeches. The lines we've gotten about
the 4 Cylons are of a totally different character, it's pretty easy
to tell them apart from lines about Starbuck and the Final Cylon.
