I haven't seen this commented here but I've seen comments on Digital Spy and on an Easter trailer they showed the clip of Teal'c on the Ice planet. So it's being shown before the DVD release in the UK. Is it also being shown in the USA?

Eventually after the DVD.

Can we have that in plain text please? (and preferably not x-posted, SG-1
!= Atlantis).

I've seen two versions of that clip, both of which still feature Teal'c on
the Ice planet, but only one which has the voice over announcing Stargate:
Arc of Truth. In the last week I've only seen the one without the reference
and I can't see it anywhere on the schedule which makes me wonder if they've
not been able to secure the rights to it or if they've had to delay showing
it.

If it's on I'll watch it, but I'm thinking it's not and we'll have to wait
for the DVD to be released before it is.

No it's also mentioned on the Sky One website as well. It's on after Easter
(why they didn't put it on over easter I'm not sure) but it is on for sure.

Did they finance some of it, or why do they get to show it already?

Maybe they bumped up a large amount of cash for the rights to the dvd
movies. It is one of their primary TV programs, so to speak. One of the
crowd pullers. So it makes sense.

What I want to know is: *WHY* are they making us buy a DVD in the US to
find out the resolution to the Ori plotline, yet they are going to let
the UK see it for FREE on mainline TV? If I was a consumer,I would be
complaining to the distributors of the program as well as a consumer's
advocacy group.
(I just might anyway). And don't give me any bull that the demographic
markets are very different. That just does not wash.
It might be a good idea to make a complaint to the Department of
Justice concerning trade issues too.
Just my opinion. It just looks like plain out and out greed because the
US market is larger.

Sky One is only available via Sky satellite. You can't get it on Freeview
(free digital channels) or cable (it was removed from the cable feed a year
ago).

If you think it's unfair then just download the movie instead and if you
think it's good, wait until it gets cheaper and buy it. Or, by then it may
show up on TV and you can watch it there, with adverts, to 'pay' your dues.

MGM is pissed at Scifi because they canceled SG-1?

Perhaps Sky has always been a big backer of the show? Perhaps Sky have paid
quite a bit of money to air it on TV? I am surprised Sky didn't put it on
pay for view first though or even on the Movie channels.

I already own the DVD.I pre-ordered it from Amazon.com a few weeks
back.I am just miffed that
I have to buy it,while others merely have to wait for it to show up on
advertiser based or subscription TV.It is "water under the dam" now.
