Hello All,
I'm a 'Johnny Come Lately' very lately to SG-1 fandom. I've been
following SG-1 from I guess maybe season 7or 8 on, also been watching/
following SGA from season 2 on. Anyway, I discovered my local public
library, has Seasons 1-9 of SG-1. Being a purist, I wanted to watch
them all in order. Like I did when I discovered they had B5. So far
I've checked out Season 1 Disc 1 & 2, and requested Disc 3 &4, wrinkle
is while the library had 3 copies the first, they only have 1 copy of
the second! I am #19 on the waiting list for that volume! How many
disc are there in Season 1? If I decided to skip Disc 3 & 4 and go to
the next one in sequence, and just get back to later, would I miss
anything important in relation to the following seasons? Also are
their any episodes or seasons that I should skip entirely? So far on
disc 1 I remember seeing most of the pilot and the first two eps in
reruns on Sci Fi. Haven't finished Disc 2 yet, but so far the only one
that seems vaguely familiar is 'Cold Larzarus'(sp). Any suggestions
would be helpful.
Thanks in advance

Just my $0.02

My sets have 5 discs per season through season 8. Then for some
really STUPID reason they changed formats and there are three discs
per season after that (in other words, it looks dumb sitting on my
shelf *sigh*)

On the one hand, I'd say just crank them out and watch them as
fast as you can cause they are SO good. On the other hand, I am
currently re-watching them all in order for the third time and I
really enjoy doing it this way too. Maybe you should just check
amazon or wherever and buy them all so you can watch them over
and over and over like I do *grin*
