View Full Version : Dune Impressions
Suppose you had to do an impression at a party or YouTube or something.
What Dune movie character would you do an impression of? The Baron, Gurney,
Piter DeVires, or another character?

Liter Jon.....
Actually, you will be remembered if at a party, or meeting, if you
stand and suddenly yell, "Hydraulic Nepotism"!

Is a worm a character? Because I think that would be easy to do. :)

You mean with a costume?

If you use a costume while doing impressions, that's cheating....

I would do my Patrick Stewart impersonation, where he beems down to a
planet and has a break down because he's captain Picard/Gurney and has
a total mind meld being two people at once.

Where do you get all of these questions from? Is there an Idiot's
Guide to keeping your newsgroup going indefinitely or something?

Sure thing, Tones. He could don a worm costume, and go as a worm which
is, incidentally, a character, or perhaps not. It's not really important
in this context. He could slither around on the floor making hissing
sounds, inviting everyone to "ride" him, and just generally get on
everyone's tits. Will's not as simple as he sounds, you know. The idea's
got merit.

Don't be such a miserable sod! Tony's questions are hilarious.

The better question is: Why does it bother you? I ignore things that
don't interest me, I don't necessarily comment on them. Some of Tony's
questions have lead to interesting discussions. I'm trying to think of
your contributions here and at the moment it eludes me. I'm sure they
are substantial, though, considering your stand. I hope you continue....

The Worm costume having most recently been done in the series Chuck.
It was a 2-man job, obviously.
An impression? Tough to do one from the books, since the mind's eye is
subjective enough about prose. But since we have the classic de
Laurentis movie from the 1980s: Sting's Feyd Rautha would be the way
to go. While I have more than the 2% body fat he did while filming,
comedy gold can be found in "The righteous?!", "you... see... your
death..." and "I WILL KILL HIM!"
Good stuff.

T: Yes, a great job of overacting. ;-) However, I thought the Baron's
performances in that movie were even more memorable and great fodder for
Dune impressions. Incidentally, there appears to be a lot of interesting
multimedia material related to Dune on YouTube. Could I entice anyone to
actually post a Dune impression on YouTube?

So, the original post wasn't yours? Why did you cut your original post
when replying? Here it is....

Are you saying that anyone not reading your original post would not see
that Tony's questions somehow bothered you? If not, what was the
purpose/intent of attempting to belittle Tony? Sport? Ennui?

Uuuh. To ask in a semi-humorous way where all these random questions
are coming from. I think you may want to pick up the other guy's
bong, pal. You are too serious. Oh! Sorry! Are you 13 and just
don't get much?
