I was wondering how many of you use a background wallpaper for your desktop?

Reason is that I just have a pitch black color.

I used to have wallpapers but I like the solid color better because my icons stand out better.

You have seen my desktop in some of the screenshots I have posted.

Post a screenshot of your current desktop

If you use paint you can blot out sensitive stuff if you need to

I'm using a silhouette style Mutant Chronicles wallpaper presently, since it is dark and easy on the eye.

I use the COLOSSUS: THE FORBIN PROJECT (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colossus:_The_Forbin_Project) logo for my laptop's desktop.

I use the COLOSSUS: THE FORBIN PROJECT (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colossus:_The_Forbin_Project) logo for my laptop's desktop.:rotflmao:

I wonder if anybody at work would notice I included that with the next update push to all of the desktops.

I've been using that one on my writing laptop for ages. It is easy on the eye/brain and quite fun.

hoohoo! I bet those desktop icons slow up your boot!

I may use a wallpaper, but have a high end pc so it doesn't matter for me. But desktop icons really slow booting up and explorer.exe issues, so I make folders to drop everything into on my desktop :

security : AV, spyware, download tools
AudioVideoImagery : contains everything that plays and edits those three
Gaming : shortcuts in here, including games, Teamspeak, Fraps, etc
Software : shortcuts that don't fit in the above!
Writing : contains mine
School : anything to do with that

I hate unnecessary waiting to boot up really.

I hit the button, plug in my password and go do something - The only time I wait for it is on a reboot and it doesn't take long at all. In fact I never noticed.

I have most of my services shut off and the only things I boot is my av and my firewall and google talk

I've been really depressed lately, so I changed it to default and got rid of all unwanted items. It's meat and potatoes for me.
