The 2007 ASC Awards have officially come to a close. No further
comments can be submitted, and the final comment digests will be
posted tomorrow.

The Awards staff and I would like to thank the writers who produce
the stories and the readers who send feedback (both during the year as
well as the awards season), making this all possible. In addition,
many thanks to the SoS Maintainers who work throughout the year
keeping track of all the stories. And most of all my deepest gratitude
and kudos to Stephen, our very own Old Man of the ASC, whose tireless
devotion (not to mention his technical prowess) keeps this all going.

Results will be posted on or about March 30.

Once again, thank you all for your support.

Hurrah! What a rush, the completion!
(But I realise the ardour of results lies ahead.)

There were times, when I wondered if my heart would give from straining to comment properly.
Or my head might faint dead away if I made any embarrassing gaffes.

Then I keep remembering the comparatively more strenuous mountain-scaling, that writers and staff experience
year after year.
The loneliness and tedium of it all, at times, only broken by more than richly deserved recognition and
appreciation.

So this acolyte picks up, and hurries forward to catch up with the main expedition.
And the scenery along the way -- what a thrill!
