Thanks and I can say the same about you! Like Nat said though,
things on Usenet haven't changed.

I guess some people feel the need to be hurtful and continue
stupid fights that took place, let me see, YEARS ago....lol or
maybe they need to take out their frustrations on others; have a
scapegoat or someone to pick on; someone to gang up on. Who
knows? Still, I feel vindicated to some degree. I was right
about the war in Iraq and about Bush. But that's in the past and
it belongs in the past. At least for me it's in the past.

Anyway, I've been away for some time. I just came back recently
and have been mostly lurking in the Trek groups and posting
elsewhere. I lurk in the Trek groups mainly because I want to
know if there's any news on the new movie. I'm also interested
in other shows now other than Trek. I have nothing really to say
about Trek so I lurk.

I had to respond to this however because Nat responded. It
looked like she approved of what they said and I was surprised as
we are still friends. She says she didn't mean for it to look
like she approved (vis a vis me anyway) just that she sees that
things haven't changed. I have to agree with that.

Anyway, hope everything is going well for you and nice to see you
again.

Actually its just bad timing, this hadnt been mentioned for years until
spook brought it up just recently but if the link that anim8rfsk posted in
another thread is accurate theres a good possibility it may be the last time
we hear from that waste of skin.

It's no secret to anyone I dont like her and its no secret to me that the
feeling is entirely mutual, however im more than happy to ignore her
existance as i have been doing for several years. The subject header,
though, is a direct challenge to the integrity of those who argued with her
and you know me well enough to know i am not the sort to let a challenge to
my integrity go unadressed especially when at the time of the arguement that
started all this I gave her three opportunities in which she could retract
the specific comment I found so offensive and she threw all three
opportunities straight back in my face.

Ok back to ignoring her in general for me, Incidentally I know there are
those of you who call both her and I friend, I have no objection to that at
all, I dont seek to impose my judgement of her on anyone else, but people
need to understand the probability is now very low that I will ever forgive
her, or forget her wanton debasement of the suffering of those people who
actually have lived under a brutal dictatorship. It is said that time heals
all wounds, for me, though, passage of time tends to harden my resolve on
such things, not diminish it.

Well, I do consider Gisele a friend, though I don't always agree with her.
My disgust in my earlier comments was that the bickering in Enterprise NG is
constant, unrelenting, and really annoying. It's the main reason I left.

How sad that some people feel the need to reopen old wounds (not you - the
original poster). That type of individual just likes to stir up trouble for
no good reason. I know some of you have very strong, negative feelings
about Gisele. I harbored those at one time, but she and I made up, and have
agreed not to discuss what started our argument in the first place.

Surely there are better things to discuss than old flame wars?

I didn't accuse anyone of anything. I just took what Nat said
the wrong way. It looked to me like she was agreeing with what
was said about me by those in this thread and I was surprised
since we are friends. Nat has since cleared that up with me and
said it had nothing to do with me. She was merely remarking
about how things hadn't changed in the Usenet world.

Hon, I haven't been in here for years. Mind if I don't jump into
a huge flame war the minute I show up here. I know you guys are
itching to get into it, must have been boring having no one to
attack but I'm not here for your amusement. Sorry, go pick a

agreeing with the group and calling Bush an idiot and the war
illegal and immoral. But at least be fair and talk about the
fact that I was alone in being against the war and Bush and you

have the time to really join in all this. If anyone here was

You bring up something I neglected to say. I am Canadian. I
think a lot of the Americans were insulted that a Canadian was
calling Bush an idiot and the war immoral and illegal. Well,
that's the gist of what happened. It was a very high tension
time. I was blunt in my disapproval of the war and should have
realized that the Americans in the group were very sensitive
about it all. I just couldn't help remarking about the war and
Bush and at the time didn't really think that *they* were for the
war till they made me quite aware of it. Anyway, it's too bad it
went the way it did and I regret it did.
