I remember reading that article a week ago. The writer takes a
horribly extremist position and seems to think that a good feminist
must believe that virtually all sex is rape. It was almost like
reading a conservative's parody of how they believe that angry
feminists think.

As I told a student last week, when you start something with the
attitude that it is horrible and wrong, then that is all you see. This
person went into Firefly with an agenda and cherry-picked what fit the
agenda, no matter how out-of-context they are.

An unfortunate, way too common attituse. I was going to add "in the
world today," but unfortunately, it is not anything new. People will
see what they want to see. And, seemingly, way too many people want to
see merde. (Pardon my French)
