Demonoid.com. Yeah, torrentspy used to be good once-upon-a-time but all the
legal problems had rendered it almost useless, especially once the comments
were taken off. As for others, a good place to start is torrentscan.com.

I was hoping that one day it would be back but, as the months had gone by, I
did start to wonder. Let's hope that the next time it goes down it won't be

There are some smaller private communities (some are still open to new
subscribers) which have nice torrents, not available elsewhere. If you use
BT Junkie as your search engine (from Torrentscan), in the torrent list it
shows you if a torrent is private and which site it is from. You can then
go to that site and sign up, if you like. If you just need the most popular
TV shows or movies then I guess there isn't much point in that but if you
like books, audio books or obscure TV shows, it may be worth it. Another
advantage of private sites is that you don't get fakes which plague large
public sites.

The best place for TV shows that I have ever found is
http://tvrss.net/feeds/ Never had a fake (Lost April fools aside) and fast
torrents. I keep plugging this site because it is simple, fast, and very
reliable. I have nothing to do with it at all.

There was talk here about the Bill McCay books. Well, I found audio versions
(1 to 5) on Demonoid. Just search for Bill McCay if you want them.
