Just picked up the 18 CD performance of Dune from the library today and
had a listen on the way to work. Excellent, although I've just got to
after the Gom Jabbar test by Mohiam. Interesting voice talent choices.
If the rest matches the quality, I'm going to enjoy this. I may listen
to the rest while relaxing, because I'm finding that I begrudge the
attention I must apportion to the road. Might have an accident.

I have that, I love it.

Yes, it is. I'm finding that having it read, with accompanying sounds
and different voices, is solidifying my understanding and imparting new
insights of character and motivation.

And I haven't converted my birthday present to an iPod yet. The way you are
talking about these audio books, I had better get a move on. <g>

Well, they are well done. And, like I said, the auditory experience
seems to add a new layer, especially for someone who has read it just as
a book numerous times. Sort of refreshing to lie back and have someone
else do the driving, as it were.
