View Full Version : Season 4 question?
grinningdemon 06-19-2008, 02:27 AM OK...I've just been watching Season 4 again and something has been
bugging me...just what the hell did Evil Cordelia want Angelus back
for? At first I thought she just wanted Angel out of the way but then
she gets pissed at the Beast for trying to hill him and talks about
him being crucial to her plan but she never says how and, when he gets
his soul back, it doesn't really seem to screw up her plan at all.
Did I miss something or did they just never bother to explain it?

I'm not exactly sure (it's been a while cense seeing that season) but
I believe she wanted him back to try to control him and make him work
for her just as she was doing with the Beast.

That doesn't really make sense to me...aside from the fact that she
talks about Angelus as though she has something specific in mind for
him, there would have to be minions that would be easier to control
than Angelus.

But you're missing the point... she didn't want any other minions. She
wanted Angelus... He's the master of disaster!

I'd say Angelus turned out to be more trouble than he was worth,
wouldn't you? And given that this whole bit was orchestrated by a
"Power That Was," don't you think she would have known better?
Because it's not at all predictable?

I think that Jasmine's plan was for Angelus to go on a rampage, and then
she shows up, in all her wonderfulness, and saves everyone from him, so
they all bow down and worship her even more.

Angelus is always more trouble than he's worth. I'm going to have to
agree with Don Sample, I think Jasmin wanted to save everyone from
Angelus. But our heroes put a stop to that when they returned Angel's
soul.

Uh, Angelus would have done that anyway...once they took Angel's soul,
all she had to do was sit back and watch Angelus tear **** up...but
she kept interfering and trying to get him to follow orders which only
pissed Angelus off and made him want to screw up her plans...that just
doesn't track with the rampage idea.

Very true, he did want to screw up her plans after a while, but at
first he was more confused than anything... I think thats where it all
went wrong for evilCORDY... if she had made him think he was screwing
up her plan, but he really was helping her, she would've been able to
use him later too, but it didn't pan out that way and only lead to
both sides getting more pissed off.
