@astonwest I saw on your blog that you posted Miss Fritz & Wendy there so you could hotlink the images to here. There is an easier way... just click on the ""More Options" button to get the full editor, click "Upload a file" to upload your images here, and then after they have uploaded you can click the "Full Image" button next to each image to insert them inline with your posts.

I was trying to upload them from the original picture file (which ended up too large), so tried putting in on the blog first (still too large), so reduced them with my tried-and-true-MS-Paint method, and loaded them to the blog first. I have both Upload a File and More Options shown at the same time on the post editor...so probably wouldn't have tried the More Options first...I'll give it a try here.

Wow...is there a way to re-size it? I attempted doing a click-and-drag in the editor, but I guess that didn't take.
There is no resize options but it will automatically shrink in size to the visitors browser. That means if somebody is viewing it on a tablet or phone then the image will be shrunk down accordingly instead of taking up the whole screen.

When I think about it, or after I see a massive picture which reminds me, I usually go in and create a smaller version locally and upload that instead...

With the software we use the more important thing is file size versus file dimensions. The reason is that a 1024x768 picture that is only 10K will load pretty fast for everybody, even people using phones/tablets, and it will be scaled to fit the browser size but a 640x480 picture that 512K will be a slow load for people unless they are on a fast internet connection.

So at least here at Cool Sci-Fi don't worry about large file dimensions as much as large file sizes.

I use MS Paint to reduce them, and it usually cuts the file size down at the same time as the dimensions...I just don't like posting huge file dimensions, personally, because it's "boom, in your face" when I see it on the screen.
