Its few and far between to find a truly good horror movie anymore. This is one that steps above the common fodder. The five interlocking tales are not in order but the movie brings them all together in a new and interesting way not commonly seen in horror anthologies.
Well shot and well acted, it is easy to get lost in this depiction of terror on a lonely night in a small town of doom. The Wraiths are very well done but I might be jaded because I truly love monsters but the wrap-up is thrilling and heart-pounding excitement.
Whenever someone asks me for a horror movie recommendation I always include Southbound now.
Its different from but just as good as Charlie's Farm (2014) - IMDb.
I don't really recommend this for those that can't get into horror movies because it will scare you. For those like me, that will watch just about any horror movie, give this a try...you will like it.
