Alias's Bizarre Love Triangle
Alias watchers were shocked last season when they learned that Vaughn, believing Sydney had been killed, married another woman. All summer long, female fans shot actor Michael Vartan nasty looks. "Girls were like, 'How could you?'" he says. This season, the addition of Vaughn's lovely wife, Lauren, has mad Sydney's life a living hell, since the two work closely with each other. (Lauren's a high-ranking U.S. agent.) Talk about a security breach! Will Sydney be able to win back her man while still keeping the baddies at bay? The return of the evil Francie this season will continue to complicate matters, but our hero should be able to handle herself with her usual style and grace. As for Lauren-- word is that she'll be around for an extended story arch as long as ratings remain strong. Don't worry, though: Jennifer Garner and Michael Vartan havce such strong chemistry (confirmed by their real-life romantic relationship) that the Alias writers won't hesitate to have the two hook up again real soon!
